Welcome to the Southern town of Whitmire South Carolina population 1512. It became incorporated 1891. Thanks to the town council and the Mayor Timothy Carroll, we were given an all access pass to use the town and amenities for our shoot.

Sheena and myself handled makeup and hair for the shoots while I directed and photographed. I used natural light only for the shoots. Most of the shots were done with digital however the water shots were done with my dive camera and Fuji film.

We started out our first day of shoots at a plantation house within a few miles of the town limits. The gardens and grounds are just beautiful this time of year with the giant magnolias and rose garden that envelopes the main house. The staff and grounds manager were a delight to work with and thou we were asked not to use the exact name of the plantation the ‘Rose’ gardens speaks volumes about the name and location of the plantation.

The second day of shooting I thought we would cover a bit more of what there was for young adults and kids to do right in town. First we started off with a few practice rounds of putting at the 9hole golf course. The girls decided they needed to stretch by doing cartwheels and round outs, talked about a funny sight. Needless to say the golfers loved the sight and were more then willing to offer up some tools of the trade by letting the girls use their custom golf cart. After a very short time they decided ‘putt putt’ was more their style and we headed to main street.
